Day 17, Tricia Fryer discusses the Name of Jesus, Great High Priest, as we pray through the Names of Jesus for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting.

Heb. 4:14 says, “Since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.”

I am blessed to share a few thoughts with you on Jesus, our Great High Priest. The next verse says that Jesus can sympathize with our weaknesses, because He was tempted in all things as we are, yet was without sin. Oh, what a blessing it is to know that Jesus understands and sympathizes with our struggles, our weaknesses and our pain!

When we are tempted to give up and give in, we can go to Jesus our Great High Priest, in faith, and He will help us. He made a way for us, once and for all, when He offered up Himself, so we could come boldly to the throne of grace in our time of need. No matter how difficult things might get, Jesus, our Great High Priest, is always making intercession for us at the right hand of the Father.
